MAUREEN JEWELL, MT STATE DIRECTOR FOR PTAC, RECEIVES PRESTIGIOUS AWARD
Maureen Jewell, statewide director for the Montana Procurement Technical Assistance Center, [PTAC] including sites in Bozeman, Kalispell, Missoula and Billings, has received the Fellowship Award from the National Association of Procurement Technical Assistance Centers [APTAC]. The Billings site is located at Big Sky Economic Development Authority.
A single Fellowship Award is given to an individual who has gone above and beyond the normal duties of an APTAC member to help further the organization in pursuing its mission. In announcing the award, it was noted that “Jewell's dedication of more than fourteen years to the organization has helped APTAC become more effective in working with congress and the constituents it serves. Her involvement with APTAC has made it an even more viable resource for businesses who work with, or hope to work with, government agencies in pursuing contracting opportunities.” Jewell is past president of the National PTAC Association.
Jewell holds a Level III Certified Contract Assistance Specialist Certificate in Contract Management from The National Association Of Procurement Technical Assistance Centers. She is certified in Contract Administration, Procurement Methods and Requirements, Federal Acquisition Regulations, and Contract Law. She has degrees from Northern Arizona, Georgia Southern, and Northwestern. She was included among the Federal 100 Top Executives from Government Industry and Academia. In 2002, the Association of Government Marketing Assistance Specialists proclaimed the MT PTAC as the National “PTAC Center of the Year.”
