BILLINGS - Education officials say state schools in Billings, Great Falls and Havre, through a partnership with Idaho State University, will offer two-year degrees to produce workers for coal plants, biofuel refineries and other energy industry projects in Montana. Officials said the schools will offer associate degrees in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation and control engineering. Starting fall 2009, the programs will eventually graduate up to 60 students a year.
